Pure-Metal: Hi Anders, thank you for your time. I am interviewing for a German Radio called Pure-Metal Radio and I am very proud to be here with you.
The first thing I want to ask is how are things with your friend and band founder Jesper ?
Anders:Oh yeah its both good and bad. We wish that he would be back right now but at the same time we decided a couple of month ago that he should stay at home. Its getting better day by day. Taking care with your personal health is important. He fights with many problems that come along and we hope he will be fine soon.
Pure-Metal:We hope it too !
Next one, you got a whole lot of awards/prices over the world. Are you proud on them and does it matter to change or stay at your style ?
Anders:No no, we don't change something. You can´t write something in order to win a price. Writing is great, its a concession of course. We are proud but we don't walk around and say we are better than others. It is basically for me to show my parents or grandparents that I actually do something (laugh), its some kind of proof that you do something that's working but it doesn't change us.
Pure-Metal:Alright, the next award is "Best Swedish Live Act" did you expect to win it ?
Anders:Of Course (laugh)No I don't really care, we won it last year as well. You can do a record over and over again. You might see it as perfect but you have to live it as well on stage to present the record in the way you perceive it, that makes a good show.
Pure-Metal:I saw you this year on the Wacken open air. What do you feel when you go on stage and see all the fans ?
Anders:It´s a great feeling and there's no show like Wacken because it was dark and you saw many people out there; its very hard to understand if your are not on stage. You can not see the end of the whole mass. It´s really great to make big shows but it´s hard to comprehent: on the one side you go out to perform there and after the show you still can´t really believe and might think "Holy Shit"
Pure-Metal:Do you have stage-fright?
Anders:
After so many shows I got used to being on stage without feeling nervous.
Pure-Metal:
OK I see your point 
Between your first album and the new stuff your style changed a lot, vocals are clearer and more melody. Our community wants to know why ?
Anders:
Well, it has been a long time since our first album came out in 1994, now we have 2009 and we are different people and we improved over time in what we are doing. These are all natural steps, some like Lunar Strain, others don´t like the new album, anyway I like our last record. Did we change our vocals? Ok, but we are not going from Brutal Heavy Metal to a Pop Band. We still play Heavy Metal Music but we do explore.
Pure-Metal:
Next year a new album ?
Anders:
No, we gonna record next year but don't release.
Pure-Metal:
I`ve heard that you're a big fan of whiskey - what´s your favorite one ?
Anders:
Right know it s not my favorite but it´s a Yamasaki from Japan, it`s really really good.
Pure-Metal:
What´s your favorite band ?
Anders:
It`s the same thing, I like so much music that I can´t tell you a favorite. Long time I liked "Alice in Chains", "Queensryche", "nine inch nails", "Tool"
Pure-Metal:
OK the last part is for you, tell your fans what ever you want.
Anders:
(laugh) OK, I hope you get Christmas presents you like.

Pure-Metal: Hi Anders, danke das du dir Zeit für uns genommen hast. Ich interviewe dich hier für Pure-Metal Radio und bin sehr stolz, mit dir hier zu sein.
Das erste was ich dich fragen möchte ist, wie stehts mit deinem Freund und Bandgründer Jesper?
Anders: Naja, gemischte Gefühle. Wir würden uns wünschen, dass er wieder da wäre, aber wir haben uns ja vor ein paar Monaten entschieden das er zu Hause bleiben soll. Jedoch macht er sich sehr gut, schließlich ist es wichtig, dass man immer gut auf seine körperliche Verfassung achtet. Er kämpft momentan mit vielen Problemen, die die Sucht mit sich bringt. Wir hoffen bloß, dass es ihm bald besser geht.
Pure-Metal: Wir auch.
Nächste Frage, du hast viele Auszeichnungen/Preise weltweit gesammelt. Bist du stolz auf sie? Und ist es notwendig seinen Style zu ändern oder bei seinem Style bleiben?
Anders: Auf keinen Fall würden wir irgendetwas ändern. Du kannst keinen Song schreiben mit dem Vorsatz, einen Preis zu gewinnen. Texte schreiben ist der Wahnsinn, es ist einfach eine Leidenschaft. Natürlich sind wir stolz aber wir halten uns auch für nichts Besseres. Für mich ist es praktisch eine Art meinen Eltern und Großeltern zu zeigen, dass ich was mache (lach), und für mich ist es ein Beweis, dass etwas, das ich tue, funktioniert und wir trotzdem auf dem Boden bleiben.
Pure-Metal: Der nächste erreichbare Preis ist "Best Swedish Live Act" erwartet ihr den Preis zu gewinnen?
Anders: Auf jeden Fall (lach). Nein eigentlich ist es und egal, wir haben ihn letztes Jahr gewonnen. Du kannst dein Album immer und immer wieder spielen, du denkst vielleicht es ist perfekt, aber du musst es auf der Bühne auch Leben um es so zu spielen, wie du es empfindest. Denn das macht eine gute Show aus.
Pure-Metal: Ich hab euch letztes Jahr auf dem Wacken gesehen, wie fühlt man sich auf der Bühne vor all den Fans?
Anders: Es ist ein tolles Gefühl und es gibt keine Show die so gut ist wie Wacken denn selbst im Dunklen sieht man all die Menschen, es ist schwer nachzuvollziehen wenn du nicht auf der Bühne bist. Es ist schwer zu vergleichen; auf einer Seite, wenn du raus gehst, um die Show zu performen kann man es danach immer noch nicht ganz glauben und denkt sich vielleicht "Holy Shit"
Pure-Metal: Hast du Lampenfieber?
Anders: Nach so vielen Vorstellungen habe ich mich an das nervös sein gewöhnt.
Pure-Metal: Achso, alles klar.
Zwischen dem ersten und dem neuen Album hat sich so viel verändert, klare Stimmen und mehr Melodien, unsere Community würde gerne wissen warum?
Anders: Es ist lange her seit unser erstes Album 1994 rauskam, jetzt ist 2009 und wir sind ganz andere Menschen geworden und haben uns immer weiter entwickelt. Das ist der natürliche Kreislauf, einige mögen Lunar Strain, andere nicht. Aber ich mag unser neues Werk. Haben wir uns geändert? Naja, OK aber wir steigen nicht von einer brutalen Heavy Metal Band auf eine Pop Gruppe um. Wir spielen immer noch Heavy Metal, aber wie experimentieren auch gern mal.
Pure-Metal: Kommt nächstes Jahr ein neues Album?
Anders: Nein wir werden ein neues aufnehmen aber noch nicht veröffentlichen.
Pure-Metal: Ich habe gehört du bist Whiskey Fan. Welcher ist dir am liebsten.
Anders: Momentan ist er nicht mein Favorit, aber der Japanische Yamasaki ist echt gut.
Pure-Metal:Was ist deine Lieblingsband?
Anders: Das ist wieder dasselbe wie eben, ich mag so viele verschiedene Musik, dass ich dir keinen Liebling nennen kann. Lange mochte ich aber "Alice in Chains", "Queensryche",nine inch nails" und "Tool"
