Motorhead To Release New ’79 Boxset

BMG is releasing a special anniversary box set of the classic 1979 albums “Bomber” and “Overkill”:

Motörhead have teamed up with BMG for “an exciting, extensive and detailed ultra-fan-friendly release programme” of their back catalogue, and they’re starting with Motörhead ‘79. 1979 was a pivotal year for the terrible trio of Lemmy, Philthy Phil and Fast Eddie, releasing the iconic Overkill and Bomber albums just month

And as both albums are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, they’re being repackaged in fancy new deluxe editions – both as hardbound books. They’ll be available in either 2CD or 3LP formats, including unheard live recordings, interviews and unseen photos.

But that’s not all. There’s a whopping great 1979 box set that’s chocked full of Motörhead gear and goodies.
